3 years ago here we had a machinist who had a habit of brushing chips away as the lathe was spinning down. One day it caught his sleeve and pulled him up to his elbow and the lathe stopped. He suffered a nice bruise on his lower arm.
Next day he did it again while finishing the same part, this time it broke his wrist.
He no longer works here.
I don’t tell you this to make you laugh. This guy had 10+ year running a lathe and apparently was lucky being stupid.
