Q:

What kind of barrels can fit in a condor?

I just ordered some barrel bushings from Airforce that fit the 18 and 24 inched barrels.

I’m looking for any suggestions on what kind of barrels I can use these bushings on with my condor.

I’m interested in how some people made 9mm, & .308 condors and what kind of ammo they use. Can brass coats reloader bullets work in condors?

You can make/have made a new tophat for your Talon/Condor valve to use it with the .308/9mm etc.

Talon Valve 17″ 9mm and 60 grain made something like 60’ish fpe
Condor Valve 17″ 9mm 60 grain made 120’ish fpe

Both seemed like really good thumpers to me, especially the Condor valve setup. 9mm is my favorite big bore so far.

Like mentioned you still need a Breach slide and maybe a new hammer weight depending on how the barrel is turned at the breach.

VERY fun to mess with the bigger bores.

Jim.

want to swap a .25 kit for your B21?
could fix you up 🙂

Thanks for your tips.

Where can I buy .20 cal or .25 cal barrels in Canada? I’m interested in getting into bigger calibers if I can get a kit and ammo for it.

NO NO NO…… do not even consider powderburner jacketed bullets!!!!!

The bushings are the least significant part of a bigbore Condor. You need a valve that will feed it, a hammer and spring that can open it, a breech slide to contain it, air supply to power it, funds to afford all the aforementioned items.
and of course, lead ammo to have fun with.
Walter….

The 18 and 24″ barrel from AF are 16mm. So you could in theory use any barrel with a bore less than that (which is about .63″).

.25 is the easiest and just needs a new barrel the right shape with no other changes, any bigger than that such as 9mm and .308 can also be made to fit the bushings, but you’ll need a new valve and breech because the size of a stock condor/talon barrel at the breech is about .308.
