Q:

What accessories have you added to your AF rifle and why???

Well after a year and a half of constantly moving accessories around on my Condor’s mounting rails and making the multple configurations work for me the gun is getting heavy, but fortunately most of my shooting-pesting is done from a stationary position to cover wider areas.

So here is my question what have you put on your gun and why?

My Add-On List:

24 power 30mm Mildot scope: Because I needed Mildots and clarity for shooting at over 100 meters.

Green daytime laser: To use for under 50 meters and to confirm scope zero.

Bipod: To compensate for my poor shooting techniques (cheating actually) 😆

Fold down front grip: To serve as an adjustable palmrest for shooting while standing.

Optical sights: Backup in the field if scope is damaged, as sometimes I need to hike in.

Target pistol grip: Allows better control and also allows for adjusting elevation by placing hand under the grip when using the bipod.

Tactical light: Getting dark earlier now and I used the light and laser for a quick close night shot. 😈

Pellet holder: Allows for me to count my shots and be quicker for multiple targets as opposed to fumbling for pellets.

Moved sling mounts from lower rail to higher rail: Allows for me to carry my beast comfortably in the fields and quicker shouldering and firing.

Morgan adjustable buttplate: Allows for a custom fit and makes bipod shooting far more comfortable.

Condor Tri-Rail: Raises scope just enough to really make shooting more comfortable while addding another (2) 11 mm mounting rails for goodies.

Future goodies:

Well my .25 cal barrel and Titanium metal (more goodies planned) and a black nylon backpack to carry my Condor broken down for transport so I do not attract any attention when hiking into new spots.

It will carry my Condor, a spare backup air tank, pellets, and an FX PCP pump.

New grip because the old on sucks

New butt plate see above.

Lazer for close shots and to pester the cats.

Tri rail because of needed rigidity.

Shroud to keep it quiet.

Bipod because I hate laying a gun on the ground.

Bushnell 3200 Elite
Airforce Bi-pod
Smith & Weson tactical light
Leepers laser sight (for under
20 yards)

Ergo Foxbat Grip because it kinda looked cool, lept it because it fits my hand better and has improved my offhand shooting a great deal.

Tril Rail because I didnt think a stock talon had enough rail’s, ended up just using it because the thin peice of rail looks flimsy and a medium mount with the tri rail gives me perfect scope height.

Surefire 6P flashlight with Tacstar Pressure switch for shooting bunnies at night.

Laser just because I felt like I needed to fill those rails, currently not mounted.

.25 Barrel was in my Condor and it was AWESOME, improved accuracy (from it having well fitting aluminum bushings), power and shot count but I got rid of it when I discovered I cant hunt with anything over .22LR here. There are no specific exceptions or allowances for Airguns here so I plan on just abiding by the rules best I can until told otherwise and stick to .22 and less rather than bring Airguns questions to the attention of the local DNR officers. So right now I’m not in violation of any rules, but a .25 defintly would be.

Tasco Varmint 2.5-10x44mm Scope, very inexpensive but good quality scope that has mildots (cos theyre cool).

Plastic foregrip mounted Bipod – Light and easy to use. Had an AF one but I felt it sucked, especially at the price they ask for them.

I started out buying every accessory there was (Was a newbie with a new toy….) and ended up with a huge monster of a gun… I eventually whittled it down to a bipod, grip, sling, flashlight (sometimes), sling studs and scope.
