Q:

We need a better Trigger Guard!

I am going to design a better trigger guard for the Airforce Rifles. I made one for my self as you all know and love it. If people are interested I will make some available. I want to design them so I can keep the cost down and yet have a nice looking sturdy trigger guard instead of the flimsy bent one on the guns now.

The new trigger guard would also allow a large knob to be put on the safety which will eliminate a lot of sore thumbs.

So what Say You!? Is anyone interested ? Or I’m I alone in the thought the AF Trigger guard sucks!

If there is an interest I will make some up and post a pict here.

I like that design Wok it looks sturdy…. 😀

That’s great! Looks real nice…
If you´re interested in another Bass Pro gift card, I´ll take one!

Then I´ll have something to hang on the Wokbutt (my tank has not arrived yet…).

If you could cut two out of one block, one being the reverse of the other one, you wouldnt have much scrap. Would need a band saw or maybe even a scroll saw to do it though.

If you’re in the planning and design stage, could you design a trigger guard/handle attachment point that will accept aftermarket AR16 grips? There are so many aftermarket AR15 grips but fitting them to the Talon/SS/Condor requires a lot of work. Now you have a challenge!!!

I have come up with a couple of designs just for that. Making them is another thing it is a big chunk of aluminum.

I was thinking something more along these lines…

I like that too. looks bulletproof. Me, I have no mill or lathe (yet) so am limited in the thickness of materials I can work with reasonably. Yours would have been too much work for me with a saw, grinder, and files.

Glad I’m not the only one who saw needed improvement in these areas.

Wok,

You wouldn’t mean something like this would you?

Besides room for gloved fingers and a larger safety, I didn’t like the factory one either. Did this a couple years ago when I first got my SS.

put me down for one of those sweet 1911 guards.

can you do something in the grip area? it sure would be nice if we could get some bolt on grips 🙄

Sounds like a great idea WOK. I feel kinda bad as my mods don’t allow me to try any of your inventions.

I bet if you copied your design you use on your gun you would sell many, but then your Talon wouldn’t be unique anymore.

I bet if you built something that was a combination foregrip/triggerguard in a one-piece design, would sell like crazy.

Hhahaha!

All of these nice guns with the cheap bent piece of metal. A better one is on the drawing board.

Nah, they would just take the design and claim they had it in the works all along.

Better watch all these new designs you’re coming up with Adam. AirForce may just hire you on as their Chief design engineer and make you settle for a high 6 figure yearly salary…… 😀
