Q:

Want it BLACK? Give this a try…

Getting a durable black finish is a pain in the Ass. Anodizing, gun kote, dura coat all take time and are not inexpensive. Flat black paint chips easily and is not durable.

Mike Milz and I where chatting and came up with the idea of using Plasti Coat. Most people have seen this as it is use for the handles of pliers and tools. But instead of dipping it I used the spray on version. I made sure the surface was clean and used denatured alcohol to clean all the oil off. Then I lightly sprayed a dusting coat and hit it with a hair dryer for a few seconds. Then I did another light coat and used the hair dryer again. I repeated this for 5 light coats. The hair dryer helps set the coat and decrease any drips. I let it then sit over night and installed.

It looks to be a suitable alternative for a black coating. And th good thing is if it gets damage it is easy to repair and replace. The can of Plasti Coat cost only $5 and could be used for coating shrouds or any number of parts.

Where can I get this butt stock?

Will it work with 20oz and 12oz? 90z?

Thanks!!!

I’ve used high temperature resistant black spray paint in the past but that stuff looks more durable, and its available in the U.K.
I think I will try it on my new silencer

wok,

looks great.

will that clamp system fit a 12oz co2 tank or is there not enough adjustment? If it will I would be interested in getting one when you have a few ready.

Thanks
