Waiting for the flight of the Condor
Hello All.
Delivery of my Condor is scheduled for 11/27.
It was a pleasant surprise to find this forum. After lurking and absorbing the incredible amount of shared knowledge listed here, I had to register.
Because of you people, already I have become intimate with the workings of my new airgun, what to look out for and how to modify it correctly. What I found so refreshing is, nobody here gives me the impression that they think their s… doesn’t stink. All ideas seem welcome, and constructive criticism results without making anybody feel stupid.
I already have my shroud designed (roughly), trigger mods scheduled, Morgan adjustable buttpad, and the AR-15 grips installed. I havent even held the rifle yet, but feel like I’m already married to it.
I have seen CP’s, Kodiaks, and JSB Predators hitting distant targets in my eyepeice, and marveled at the jaw-dropping power. (My very old FWB 124 is worn and tired).
I own a minor arsenal of powder-burners, but airgunning has been a favorite passion of mine for years. When I grew up in Montana, I spent many summer days popping carp when they were poking their heads above the surface of the lake with a Powerline Daisy. When I aquired the FWB 124, it replaced my rimfires in most situations. My friends would laugh at me when I brought it along, but the first 40 yard knockdown of a pesky skunk changed all that. The 124 was underpowered for the shot, but peer pressure guided the Beeman Silver Jet into his left ear channel.
The next think you know, 3 of my friends owned “twangers” and we spent many years stalking the ground-squirrel population, giving carp headaches, and cleaning out an old mill of pigeons.
I am looking forward to my first PCP. I waited 20 years to upgrade, and visiting this place helped me to decide which airgun to buy.
So thanks!! Looking forward to sharing my experiences with you all.
