I assembled the rifle and fixed all of the bugs. I started with a factory condor. I then got a m1 barrel, aluminum breech, and a-lot of ammo from lemak. The breech was not quite riding right, and a new hammer was needed for more power. It took a lot of work to finish right, but it cocks well and fires like a cannon. I do not have a camera at this time, but I will post picks of my entire firearm and airgun collection as soon as I can. 😈 😈 😈 😈

The problem was with my friends gun. I guess his pump was not reading right. Problem fixed. He has a talon, and without asking me he filled his tank a little higher than normal. needless to say his pump was off in the readings, and yes valve lock. I have a moded condor. Custom breech, hammer, wokbutt, forearm, and a .308 m1 barrel. All together it makes for a gun that will shoot threw small trees. I run on 3375 all the time with great results. That said, he noticed the pressure I am running at, and just tried it for himself. Don’t try this with talon bottles! they may lock! I also run at 3500 sometimes. First shot is a blow out shot. The next couple have tremendous force, and I still get the normal amount after those. I still do not advise for all. A heaver hammer, and my larger bore help with the heaver pressure. Thanks again for the help everyone.

Sounds neat!!! Got any pics? Are you the builder?

Airforce recommends putting two US dimes (or equiv) in the fill adapter and carefully screwing the tank in until air begins to escape. Let it drain slowly, a gentle hiss should be enough. The coins should sit inside the adapter and be completely flat.

I find that 2500-2700psi is a good starting point for my gun above which I get weak shots at high PW settings. My sweet spot is 2600psi and PW4.1 on my Talon SS 177.

I wouldn’t hit it with anything , you might bend the shaft. use other methods described.

I had my valve lock open , and as have read on here the spring backed off , so i knew what to do thanks to these knowledeable guys on this forum ,

I use a nut and lay it into the airforce adapter filler and screw the tank in until air starts slowly coming out.

I use the penny (sometimes a dime… depends what I have) method to empty my tanks.

I should do as I was told to and just make a tube or buy a nut that will fit over the hatand press on the shoulder of the tophat rather than the end.

I wouldnt recommend hitting it with a hammer.

A better way to do this is to put a penny/washer inside the fill adapter and slowly screw in the tank. Let Some of the air drain very slowly.

Mke sure whatever you put in the fill adapter is flat and flush because you don’t want to bend the valve stem.

If your gun can’t open it then take the bottle out, put on ear defenders and eye goggles then tap the top of the valve with a mallet. Be careful to tap it directly in as you don’t wash to bend anything. Though really your gun should easily be bale to open it as the bottles only take 3000psi max.
