Typical idiots
I dropped my CF tank at the dive shop for a refill. Guy told me he needed to visually inspect and what not. Fine. Guy also assured me he could fill to 4500psi. Picked up the tank and paid $26.17 for VI and fill. Then I looked at the gauge….. 3800psi.
Harry: Hey Man… you told me you would fill it to 4500psi.
Dumbass: 3800 is pretty good.
Harry: Not for me it’s not.
Dumbass: “this, that, & the other thing”
If the guy had told me up front I wouldn’t mind. What’s with people?

The place is a repair shop. Not a retail store. I don’t doubt that the tank was inspected as “promised”. With all the other shit that goes on regarding my contracting business, I just let this one slide. I’ll live longer. 😆

Harry your tank had a hydro and visual not long ago.
I wonder if he even did the test.
Did you get a refund? The dive shops I deal with don’t charge for the visual inspection, its part of the $5~7 fill charge. If you asked for a 4500psi fill they should have told you they can only fill to 3800. Anything less is dishonest.

Last week when I went to fill my tank, they told me my VI was out…. then the other employee told him the air wasn’t for breathing so they said nevermind. Go figure. 😀
