Tophat adjustment
I have a stock TalonSS And no chrony.
The tophat is factory set at 0.152
What is the best gap for good power and most shots?
I thought I resd it here before but I cant find it.

Some set it at .71 and have good results. A chrony is really the only way to get it right.
Do some penetration test and see what gives it the deepest and go with that until you can use a chrony.
I think Adam means .057 and .071.

at .71″ you wouldn’t even need air, the tophat would just “shove” the pellet down the barrel when it bounced back from the hammer strike.

Mine is set at .057 at the moment and get 855 with CP and 755 with Kodiaks with a 3000 fill.
