I stumbled across this today. Pretty sweet looking little rig.

Anybody got one yet?

Here are some facts direct from John McCaslin (AirForce owner) after we spoke at length at the recent 2008 Shot Show.

After holding one of the prototypes on display at the show, I was very amazed by the balance and design of this rifle. Please keep in mind the design focus is geared to the competitive shooter. While many of you are back yard shooters, they are not designing for this purpose; however, it will surely be a great back yard rifle!

Retail will be just under $600.00 for the rifle

As to the anodized color or finish, AF may offer more than just one color. You currently see the one that looks pink, it is however more of a burgundy tone and it looks sweet! We encouraged John to also produce a blue and black as well.

The current plan has a small air reservoir (again for competition shooting) that will require more fills if out in the field. Tank capacity is not confirmed.

The pictures surfacing on the web, ncluding ours at: http://www.ihttp://www.impactairgun.com/AirForce_EDGE_br_Place_your_o_P395C54.cfmmpactairgun.com are of the prototype model. This is subject to final revisions.

This is sure to be another great platform to work form. We are very impressed with the R & D effort being put into this rifle. The current designed pistol grip is awesome, has a nice feel and will be a favorite! We also recommended to John that they make this grip available as a dealer option (as well as left hand version) that could be installed on current models. Time will tell.

The forward receiver has not reached a final completed design; John mentioned that they are still working on this aspect.

Over all, we are very excited to see this new product hit the market. I speculate that based on Johnรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs comments, weรขโ‚ฌโ„ขll see this rifle made available early summer.

Our first two already have deposits on them! It is great to see that level of excitement on new product.

Its is Photochopped. I see some pros and cons with the rig, they have some nice additions like the grip, tank, frame, and foregrip design. I also like the side cocking brech. I’d like to get my hands on just those items.

Hi Guys,

i`ve posted a pic of the Edge on the dutch forum and asked what they thought of it, 29 replies, 14 of them said is was as ugly as ugly gets, three posters liked it anyway, two liked the Edge when it had a decent colour (black/grey), two had comments about the strength of the frame (those two are specialists, one of `em built his own Giant Talon ๐Ÿ˜‰ ), the rest must`ve been smoking bad pot or something like that, they`re talking bout Photoshopping on an airgun forum, buncha weirdo`s……..

See ya around!

Roel

I’m not sure the gun even exists as the pic of it is half composed of a computer generated image.

Yeah about 3 months ago I had to send them an email, they were vague at best, then the pictures were updated.

I’m curious about the price as well.

Do you think it takes the same barrels? ๐Ÿ˜€

I talked to them months ago when plans for the gun were released and it wasn’t even called the Edge. They only good I could wrangle out of them was that the buttstock airtank will be sold separately as well, and is still not regulated.

Anyone comtacted them on price and availability? says to call them on the web page…I’m curious about the frame, what parts will fit it and if they sell it seperate????

Jim.

Larry Durham had a little write up on his web site and mentioned the Edge. He saw it at the SHOT SHOW in Vegas recently.

He is a hard man to impress and knows his shit like no other…grouchy but a real airgun expert.

From his site he said:

“Another kool new entry was from AirForce, with a heaviily reworked Talon, set up for three postion shooting by scouts and other youth shooting clubs. Really great triigger, match sights, and a thin airtank to give good ergo’s to the buttstock. a really striking change to the gun. I’d love to have one a these things too!”

Pretty little thing ๐Ÿ™‚

lol Triggerman. So true.

Personally, I’m wondering if we can buy that grip yet. I’d bet it would be nice on the talon/condor.

It’s that pink color that I like. Wish I had the equipment to powder coat mine pink. That would just be the ultimate insult to some of the vermin I shoot, firstly to be shot to begin with, then secondly to be shot with a damned pink gun…… ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜›
