TD400 Archery conversion
The Condors are some awesome guns and I belive the Archery conversion option will give us one more way to enjoy this weapon and be able to humanely kill any big game animal you could think of.
I have tried to make a Archery conversion kit for the condor that is powerful,accurate,easy to install and affordable. I’ll post some pics,features and shot strings.
Basic kit
full conversion kit with arrow loaded on barrel (notice reccess in barrel allowing further insertion of arrow)

#3 hole in breech for 400+fps arrow speeds.
g.t.blue jay helped me with some of the testing on the kits. He didnt install the moded valve spring and retainer so I was’nt exspecting him to break 400fps but he did! This a 15 shot string he recorded for me.

The arrow track barrel is a very accurate and versatile design. Swivel machine works had a patents on it for 20 years but both patents expired last year. The arrow track allows you to shoot fletching and any kind of broadhead you like.
A 280grain arrow moveing 400+ has a lot of punch even without a broadhead 😀

Although im not new to pcp airguns,im new to the condor. Would this kit be able to be exchanged for regular barrel or is it permanant once installed?

Nick, Its a slip over design and uses a launch tube not a barrel.
.343 id aluminum or carbon arrows will work.
This is way beyond awesome!! What caliber barrel did you use? I’ve been thinking about doing something similar but I’ve always wondered if a std crossbow bolt could handle the sudden pulse of air-in my minds eye I can see the arrow exploding before its launched. Do you use carbon or aluminum bolts?
Knife, You are correct an AD is the proper term. The misfire was in my brain 😛

This is one of my pet peeves. A misfire is when a loaded gun fails to fire. (In other words, it missed its fire). Usually for a bad primer in modern guns. Or damp power, or pluged transfer hole in a blackpowder gun. (Or on a date with a really ugly chick 😯 )
A gun that goes off when the saftey for instance is taken off is known as an A.D. (Or Accidental Discharge) in the FireArms industry, Shootings Sports, Military, or LE. (Or when you get overly excited on a really hot date!) Just ask Hoot. I undersatand he has experience in this area. 😆

so how much is the conversion kit?
The safety issue wasnt with the arrow conversions it was with the sears in AFs trigger group. For about a year or so there was several reports of misfires most all on guns shooting pellets. When the saftey was pushed off the gun would fire. AF corrected the problem with a better sear with a deeper engagement notch. The sear on the left was one of the bad ones and the one on the right the improved one. Since then AF has replaced the trigger group altogether.
Most states will allow you to hunt pigs with arrow guns, I hope one day to see Airarcher type guns to be classified as muzzel loading airguns and allowed to hunt in primitive weapon seasons, but presently I would not recommend hunting on public land for Game animals like Deer,Bear and turkey.
