Q:

Tank Threads

Ok, Ive seen three “official” tank thread numbers on this site ). I would like to get the absolute correct number so I can buy a tap and die for it.

Ive seen:

3/4-14
7/8-14
M18-1.5

What gives? Have they changed the threads a bunch of times? Is there an easy explanation or does it depend on where your from and what date you bought your gun?

Any help would be appreciated.

quote Shadoh:

I got the 7/8 size from a search here but I figured it was probably the frame threads.

As far as the other two, your not helping ). I should just buy both and see for myself but surely someone knows for certain what it is.

Anthony says its M18x1.5 as well.

Well then so far there are three of us saying th e same thing.
Sounds helpful enough don’t you think?

AFAIK the thread is M18x1.5

Tim Mac1 stated the thread to be 3/4-14

Never has it been said that it was 7/8-14 but that is the frame thread instead.

Cheers,
