TalonSS velocity
What is the maximum velocity can a stock talonSS go to? I do not have instrument to measure the velocity. But the spec say’s it could go from 400-1000.
I would like to have a constant 1000 fps if possible. What kind of pellet should I use to achieve this velocity? Do I need to do mods to my current hammer and tank? Any info and help is appreciated.

An 18″ barrel will increase your velocity a lot over the 12″. If you got a Condor Valve it will definitly increase your velocity. And they are only $105 from airforce
On a 3000psi fill I get 850 fps with CP and 750 fps with Kodiaks. PW set at 4. I modified the valve and was getting the same numbers with a 2500 psi. I need to get my scuba filled to see what it can do at 3000psi.
I am getting a custom 16″ .22 barrel from Tony and that will kick up the velocity.
I’m planning on getting an 18″ barrel in 22cal. Will this help get the fps or will slow it more?

What to do to get the max out of a 12″ barrel to shot at 900fps?
T’s right….when my TSS was stock, it was getting about 775fps with JSB’s and a pw setting of 10. With a 18″ barrel and JSB’s, (same pw setting) it was getting an average of about 850fps. Both these were run at a fill of 3000psi with the stock hammer. A heavier hammer with an agressive tophat setting can boost these numbers a bit. I now have a 24″ lw .20 cal barrel on it and its pushing eujins at about 960fps for almost 49fpe.

You are not going to hit 1000 with a 12″ barrel…IIRC you will get in 900’s with Crossman Premiere’s at 14.3gr in .22
