Talon SS Shroud
I’m well aware that it’s illegal to use silencers…You don’t need to inform me on this subject.
Anyways,
I know there is a lot of talk about quieting airguns down, and I know there are many methods, but what is the single best method? The quietest and easiest. After internally modified, should I put some kind of barrel extender/silencer to help EVEN MORE?

Put the time and effort in researching the issue. Then drop $10-$20 dollars at the hardware store and you can achieve a quiet TSS, relatively. Mine was vastly improved over the stock empty frame. Hamer slap was the loudest thing heard. Or Get ahold Of Tony and your guaranted a quiet rig.
On my Talon SS…
I dropped in a long lightweight coil spring, followed by nylon washers turned to perfectly fit the factory shround. The washers are spaced apart by O-rings, the first one by 4, the next by 3 the next by 1 and then one right next to the end cap. The end result is a gun that when fired sounds like someone snapping a twig. Not much more. From 100 feet away the neighbors don’t even notice. Cost me about $10 to do all this and took less than 20 minutes.

The end furthest away from you as you hold it in a normal shooting position has a small cap (has a hole in it for the pellet to exit). You undo a small set screw underneath the end of the frame to remove than, and that will expose the inside of the frame.. that is where you put the baffles and stuff.
How old are you? I think an adult should help you with this (preferably one that you know 😆 ).
Julien is a youth of 14 IIRC
How do you add a frame extender, while retaining the stock end cap??
I have a frame extender, albeit I had to send it back, but one has to remove the stock end cap and use its set screw to hold the frame extender in.
Thanks 😀
😀 I meant in other words ‘retained’ the cap in idea and but not actually using the stock end cap, the idea would be to use something like the end cap to divide the spaces…

I think you might be right.
Maybe jooleyen should clear his internet history and cache immediatly prior to attempting anything with his gun once it arrives so we dont get blamed for any…. misadventure on his part.
Sorry man, I spelled your handle wrong!!!!!!!!

LOL. It’s hard to get a good close up image of all the parts of the gun. I haven’t seen one in person yet. I’m sure once I get it I’ll understand all the parts and it’ll all just “click” and I’ll be able to do these procedures.
Thanks for putting up with me – it’s not over yet. 😉
I meant to say………..Without the help of the people here on the forum
oops………. 😉
just take out the set screw at the end of the barrel (bottom of barrel) & pop the end cap off………it is just a hollow tube about 6″ long…….just remember if you can’t get the end cap off after removing the set screw then make sure gun is unloaded & point the barrel down about 2-3″ from some sort of cushion……..I dry fired mine into my foam in my gun case.
Of course I didn’t know to do that with the help from the wonderful people on this forum. 😀
Some how Julien I get the feeling your going to accidentally kill yourself…lol
Oh, I’m sure I will. When you’re baffling the gun, what parts of the gun do you disassemble to get the washers and baffles in?

I must of done it wrong 😳
I’m going to have Mr. Tony make me a professional looking shroud……after speaking with him on the phone he seems like a very knowledgeable & honest man.
Is there anyway to quiet the hammer noise????
I’m new at this also.
But this is a wonderful forum & some excellent advice. I couldn’t figure out how to get my end cap off & after I buggered it up I decided to ask for help on this forum. I ended up blowing the cap off with dry firing….thanks to help I got from these guys.
I think you will like the Talon SS………..I love mine……….Plus its really “kewl” looking 8)
