that 24” is a beast i was shooting at 60 yrd to check my scope adjustment so i aime at a nail head to have a point of aim to see how low it droped and check the windege after i shoot y didt see where it hit that was trange loded up again a shoot again when i see a littel gray next to he nail 😯 it was dead on at that distance with a 20 yard zero and they smack hard at that distance with jsb’s making little holes in concreet walls and that wasent at full power at 12 it hits 2 mills higher at that distance but i want to get more shoot count dont now how fast is shooting dont have a chrony yet still looking for the best deal and bang for my buck.
yea its not perfectly tight but when tighten with the grub screw it snugs up well, the tube is very light it from a 10’x10′ tent or tarp that they sell at pep boys now it has 3 baffels one was getting loose and i put a washer on all of them gut that firs one was getting in the way took it out and it still sounds the same and the front is a screw that holds the baffels in place an looks like a front sight i liked how it looked so i left like that. the 24 bbl is to loud without a shroud for where i live so with out it i wont shoot it right now it more quiet than the ss with baffels so im very happy with it the only problem is it wont fit in the case i had for it have to take the tank off.
Nice stuff!
The opening in the shroud is just over 1″, so the fit is a touch sloppy…

Nice Buster.. just wondering, how exactly is the fit when putting 1″ Alumi tube in frame? Any slop? Really tight? Just right? I may fashion something like that myself when I get a longer barrel.
Also, what is the tube wall thickness you’re using, and I’m wondering if the thickness would have any difference in sound reduction, if any.
Looks really nice Buster! Is that a sight post on the top?
Makes sense on the vent. I am looking at a Sight Mark here in town. The minimum 8.5 worries me, but it looks bright. Found one new in the box for 175.oo from a fellow Gun Show dealer. He was asking 225. at the table. Still looking at a Nikon Monarch 4X16 with side focus. Super bright. Just a little spendy!
Thanks Mike
im using the sling mount from airforce front and rear, thanx for your coment
Your SS is looking great 😀 , Buster how is your sling attached in the rear?
it has a.22 24” brl in it and the grip I baught at discount for 10.00 at a gun shop it was for a pistol scope is a sight mark 8.5-25 x50 very good for 150.00 and the vent hole helps a lot like drilling the front bushing and under the handgard, the brl is new so I didn’t want to dril the front bushing on it.
That’s a good looking set-up! Like the grip too. What scope is that? Does the vent hole seem to help out?..And lastly, do you still have the 12″ bbl in it or have you up-graded? Your set-up has almost a Barrett .50 look to it!
Mike
its a 1” ali tube with 4 bafels and a vent hole very quiet and thanks for the complements
That is very nice looking.
Is that a barrel shroud? If so I really like that look better than the full OD frame diameter setups.
Wow, very nice again!!
😀
Damn Buster!!!! that is a really, really nice looking gun!
Jim.

Great looking gun…. I, too, love the look of the shroud on it not being the same OD as the frame. Gives it more of a bull barrel look to it… nicely done!
