Q:

take a look at this…

Over the holiday my Dad and I got a chance to shoot our talons some…I had made a couple of grip and forearm sets ond recieved some 90 diop o-rings from Anthony..So during to swapping of parts we began to compare guns….Dad got his about 5 years ago and it had a steel hammer no delrin guides and of course mine started out with a delrin hammer before i upgraded it…Here’s the funny thing he ordered his from Mac 1 with ( I believe ) the gunpower 24″ moderated barrel….It was suppossed to have been set up by Tim …The tophat is out 120 thousands i have never heard of it being out that far… his standard deviation 10 fps but he can’t get as high a velocities as i can….I suspect that the tophat being this far out is not allowing the hammer to reach full potential energy before it strikes….

It just unscrews from the breach right? I was wondering if that was a good fix for the issue…

Thanks Adam!

Mine was out to about that point, if you set it at the 0.070 the breach will be loose and the cocking knob will jump when the hammer strikes, I reset mine at about 0.085. The breach is still a little loose but the knob does not move when I fire the rifle…

Get some plastic tubing to fit over the knob bolt to increase the OD so it fits firm against the frame. That helps keeping it from jumping to much.

I think you might be on to something there. That is way out there. Move it down and see what happens. It can always be put back 😆
