Swaged .257 bullets resized to Dual diameter

Swaged up some more .257 bullets and was never happy with the fit. They hurt my thumb attempting to load ’em into the barrel of my Vulture
So figured the Dual Diameter design by Corbin was what I needed to make.
made up a die that allows for resizing the bullets to have a 0.248″ bore riding section with a full diameter band at 0.257′

I know what you mean. I can feel quite a bit of difference shooting 42gr. EJ’s compared to 31gr Kodiaks.

Muzzle jump shooting your 53gr pellets must be significant, but you will work it out. 🙂

I made the resizer and at present it is a pound-die style. Need to thread it for my press eventually.
Yes a hollow base would be a treat and will eventually make one to test out those for sure.
Got to figure out how to control the recoil as it makes precision shooting a bit of a challenge.

looks like a lot of potential. did you make the sizing die? might consider making a tapered punch to give about a 1/4″ hollow base too. easier seating and expand slightly for bettery grab on the rifling

great stuff.

Thanks fellas.
They are 53 grains.
Shot some through the chrony and got 111fpe down to 94fpe over the fifteen shots from a fill. 2810psi down to 2310psi average of 103fpe 935fps.
Had a muffler on the vulture but it was throwing them off so had to ‘shoot’ it off as I could not pull it off. Went about 25 feet out into the mud 🙁 🙂
Here are five at 50yards. The best three is me settling down I think 🙂
