Q:

Sticky Valve – Micrometer Tank

Any quick fixes out there for a sticky valve. Shot consistency isn’t great. Sometimes it will stick closed and once it nearly emptied after a shot.

Any known quick fixes out there?

I know I can get it serviced by airforce but being cheap and want it fixed quick prompts me to ask. I am not afraid to take it apart but would rather avoid this.

What about empty the tank. clean visible stem. Lube with silicone. Cycle up and down and then pressurize. Since I only have a handpump you know refilling empty stinks so I want to get some advice first.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe your stem is bent? Take the bottle off the gun and lay it flat on a flat surface. Roll it away from you and watch the top hat. If it wobbles you got a bent stem.

If you dont want to take the valve off then depressurize the bottle and do as you described. While you are cycling the valve feel if there is a burr or something. You might need to send it back to airforce if it does not straighten it self out. Is it possible your stem is bent?

But beware sending back to airforce does not mean it will come back any different then when you sent it in 😆
