Q:

Stealth home build

Here it is in order and without editing 👿 (HOPEFULLY) by owners PLZ HEHE 😀
The LCD was an idea from a russian site and works quite well ,thou i would like to make one with some sound deadning material to see if its any better. 😯

First fitting of the top rail ,bit of a bugger to machine and learnt plenty about how not to do it.

The trigger group fitted , the shear assembly is made from steel to be hardened later with a brass trigger .Still got to fit the pins and test the shear against the hammer when loaded on the spring. 🙄

The mock up of the trigger group with trigger gaurd in place , finaly got the screws to fit this , so should finish soon.

Got a 400cc bottle from a logan s16 , like the fact that its shorter in length
and DIA ,give s me more to play with when it comes to the stock and adjusting its length for comfort. The stock has seven adjusting positions for hieght and will be clamped by 2 screws between the bottle hole and adjusting bar. The first 2 pics are for mock up only.

Reduced the size and made it fit mu shoulder better by rounding it off, bit lighter too. Was going to make it FT style but i would like to go hunting with it ,so when for a more solid style.

This brings us upto date Blodnobs kindly helping with the valve ,so all i need is some time ………damit 🙁

FAC is such a messy buisness over here 🙁 . I would like to get a rim-fire but im not into just paper punching and dont like hanging around gun clubs ! . Besides i couldnt build anything for a FAC rated gun ,you have to be licenced ( £2500 ,alot of LCDs to get that back !), even the LCD i have here could land me in trouble because of the 1/2 UNF thread. I know i made it for a airgun , but if the police could prove that ive made it ( to be converted or constructed ) for a FAC rated gun then that would be 5 years , protecting the rusty sheriffs badge in the showers 😯
Ive yet to see if the Uk forums would like to see the dam gun ,wonder how it would go down, i only went on the US forums because thats where you go to build guns and theres more info on them. I think for the next gun ,il try the UK forums as its going to be a more complex gun. L8r

Excellent work buba.

You going to try for a FAC?? I’m sure if theres anyone near you with a place to hunt they wouldnt mind sharing it so you can get a FAC just to see/share/borrow/take advantage of you and your work. I know I’d try and make freinds with you and use you for my own ends if I still lived in the UK…. I mean that as a compliment, lol

Thanks all for your coments , think the stock has recived the most positive feed back , suprise no one had done it before. I got the idea from Adams stock 🙂 ,just thought i could do it with less pieces ,and machining it looked the better way (maybe). Living in the Uk limits me to the 12lb as you know , so pimping it is all i can do . I think i should get a few shots out of the 400cc bottle at this power level and dont think il miss the 500cc bottle. Accuracy at 35 yards is wot its all about when you shoot with 12 lbs in the Uk . So if it cant do that ,then il hand it in when the Police have a weapons amnesty , just for the hell of it lol 😈

Buba: First off, congratulations. I think that even at this stage the project is looking very, very good indeed (love the shoulder stock). Do you have any particular design goals that you’d like to achieve? That is to say, are you aiming for a certain power, number of shots or accuracy?

Tony: the LDC looks like a Vortech design which was used to great effect by Theoben. It basically works be breaking up and swirling around the soundwave more than regular Silencers which tend to aim to slow the soundwave down as their main objective.

Incredible Work Bubba…
Very curious how your LDC will function.
We are honored to have a craftman like yourself here..
Please hang out and post often.
Thanks, Tony
