Q:

Stealth home build

Here it is in order and without editing 👿 (HOPEFULLY) by owners PLZ HEHE 😀
The LCD was an idea from a russian site and works quite well ,thou i would like to make one with some sound deadning material to see if its any better. 😯

First fitting of the top rail ,bit of a bugger to machine and learnt plenty about how not to do it.

The trigger group fitted , the shear assembly is made from steel to be hardened later with a brass trigger .Still got to fit the pins and test the shear against the hammer when loaded on the spring. 🙄

The mock up of the trigger group with trigger gaurd in place , finaly got the screws to fit this , so should finish soon.

Got a 400cc bottle from a logan s16 , like the fact that its shorter in length
and DIA ,give s me more to play with when it comes to the stock and adjusting its length for comfort. The stock has seven adjusting positions for hieght and will be clamped by 2 screws between the bottle hole and adjusting bar. The first 2 pics are for mock up only.

Reduced the size and made it fit mu shoulder better by rounding it off, bit lighter too. Was going to make it FT style but i would like to go hunting with it ,so when for a more solid style.

This brings us upto date Blodnobs kindly helping with the valve ,so all i need is some time ………damit 🙁

Simply beautiful. Very nice work from all you guys!

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want one….wish I had time/talent and funds to make one of those beautiful works of art!

Looking real fine Buba.
I keep looking for full side profile pics. Curious how you will resolve the bottle fit to the gun?
Very nice work.
Walter…

Love that trigger setup 😀 . That is cool!!!!!!!!!!

The new picts are outstanding. Now Airforce should take a lesson from you and design there guns to use AR15 grips. Good move.

It looks great!

Buba…

beautiful work…. simply amazing. 😯

Havent got much done a ive been working like a dog! 🙁
But i know you all want alook at another of my kitchen surfaces 😀
This week ive got the cooker hob with a stainless steel trigger shoe, with stippled grip area and the top rail with my first go at engine turnning. The can of beer im still working on 😀

The rail came out ok 😕 but could of been better ,but i figure the scope is going to block a good view of it so it might stay as is.

Waiting for more tooling as usal before i can continue, 😯 took more time waiting for stuff than building it 👿

Thks all ,Im going to shot blast it myself and hopefully anodised next week. Intresting link mcMike, it will be at least grade 2 ,which is what i would have done at home (suphuric acid) but il see wot the bloke dose , think il be lucky to get grade 3 . As far as FAC ing it , think that would hard as only registred gunsmiths can make/alter a FAC gun. And besides you know i int got a FAC rimi boy …….lol………… ( i hate him damit) hehe

COME ON MATE DON,T BE LIKE THAT LOLI MIGHT HAVE A WEE PROJECT FOR U SOON MATE I,LL RUN SOME IDEA,S BY U SOON 😆

Once again a fanstastic….Hard miliatry type 3 anodizing will really top it off. I believe it only comes in Green and Black and is very tough. I have a paintball gun in Green and it has looks great with many years in the field. It is really tough stuff.

mmm very nice mate i,m loveing this build can,t wait to c it finnished ab=nd giveing us some crono numbers . r u going to fac it mate 😀

OMG Buba. There should be a law or regulations not to show this kind of work. It makes me drooling and my wife does not like that 😀

Simply Beautifull. I just love the rigid, solid and strong design you have there.

btw, If you sent it for anodization make SURE it’s at least type II – preferably type III (http://www.walgren.com/anodizing-systems.html)

Well here i am again with pics of another surface in my kitchen with a lump of alloy in the way ! this time its my door mat 😯 . Its done ! yeppie ! 😯 arfter spending days filing the dam trigger shears (and yes that slotted hole on the hammer shear is needed) i finaly managed to get it to cock and fire.

The hammer is 38 grams with a PTFT liner that slides on the barrel rather than the frame. On the front i left the PTFT ,seams to cut down alot on the hammer slap.

The breach was made like mcmikes design but with a few changes , i bored out the stainless to 13mm to take the liner and cut out the O ring grooves in that, not very clear but its not that interesting either ! 😀 hehe

I was going to home anodise it but as a result of a bunch of nutters trying to bomb the tube ,getting hold of the acids needed is proving a bit of a problem. So i might give in and pay for it to get done ,just need to find someone to bead blast it first. Just got to clean it up abit and the next time you see it , she will be black
Got the cocking knob to finish ,trigger shoe , valve shaft ( because i buggered it 🙁 ) and a bi-pod to finish. While i was trying to see if i could chemical etch the surface with caustic soda, i found that the alloy bar i used for the LDC contains alot of magnesum ( it went completely black 😯 ) so im going to redo the core of the LDC in stainless but make it so i can change the cores without having to remachine the whole thing.
Im eyeing up a 7 lt bottle for charging ( at £140) ,then just need to make a adapter for it ,so i might just fire it before xmas lol

Bubba, frigging AWSOME….the whole frigging thing!

Elongated hole…there is one in the stock trigger system I guess to give some slop to let it cock/fire and it does need to be there in the factory setup in order to work… I was hoping to see someone make up a new trigger/sear assembly that worked like a real gun…I will be eternally bitching about the design of there trigger system and “Safety”…I have 3 different Air Force guns that have/do fire when the “Safety” is clicked 👿

Really enjoying watching your project unfold….

Blodnob is one heck of a nice guy!!!! I have heard nothing but good things about him and his work.

Damn this is REALLY making me want to start machining stuff again!!!

Jim.

Buba,

Great progress. Love seeing what you are doing. 😛
