Q:

Stealth home build

Here it is in order and without editing 👿 (HOPEFULLY) by owners PLZ HEHE 😀
The LCD was an idea from a russian site and works quite well ,thou i would like to make one with some sound deadning material to see if its any better. 😯

First fitting of the top rail ,bit of a bugger to machine and learnt plenty about how not to do it.

The trigger group fitted , the shear assembly is made from steel to be hardened later with a brass trigger .Still got to fit the pins and test the shear against the hammer when loaded on the spring. 🙄

The mock up of the trigger group with trigger gaurd in place , finaly got the screws to fit this , so should finish soon.

Got a 400cc bottle from a logan s16 , like the fact that its shorter in length
and DIA ,give s me more to play with when it comes to the stock and adjusting its length for comfort. The stock has seven adjusting positions for hieght and will be clamped by 2 screws between the bottle hole and adjusting bar. The first 2 pics are for mock up only.

Reduced the size and made it fit mu shoulder better by rounding it off, bit lighter too. Was going to make it FT style but i would like to go hunting with it ,so when for a more solid style.

This brings us upto date Blodnobs kindly helping with the valve ,so all i need is some time ………damit 🙁

I’m looking forward to seeing your result buda. Need to find some suited material for the trigger shoe. It will get done 😈 .

Keep up the good work man. Like it a lot!!

regards,

Marc

Thks for the input , nice to know its been done as i hate to be the first at anything !lol .Cool pic Baz , so you lot have pushed me into it ,il give it ago and see wot it turns out like arfter shot blasting. If it dont look to sharp il just flash it all over with grit. 😀 . As far as patience gose Marv ! ive got little time to spend in my workshop and alot of time sitting thinking of wot id like to do ! 🙁 (You started arfter me and finished your superb gun first ,WHEN ARE YOU GONA FINISH A TRIGGER SHOE ? ) Should just get it done ! but im just putting off the fact that i need to spend £150 on a diver bottle (at this time of year) JUST TO FIND IF SHE FIRES. Damit 👿 HOPEFULLY she be at the anodisers before the weekend (maybe!) 😀

as always bubba mate great work welldone ..tell me mate what spring r u going to use .the right strong one . 😀

Here’s a picture of some handle bars that have been masked and grip blasted, then the masking removed then anodised. The photo isn’t very good but you should make out the various textures of the gloss and matt effect that you get by doing this. I have done this to a silencer with a flame pattern, I down loaded the flame picture and printed it onto the back of some self-adhesive vinyl, the type that sign-writers use to stick on vans etc. I also have a friend who makes grave stones, he uses self-adhesive rubber sheeting which he uses a computor controlled cutter to cut the words out to put on a stone, then grip blasts the lettering into the stone.

Buda

Your rifle is going to look awesome!!
You seem to have so much more patience!!
I didn’t rush mine but you realy take the time to incorporate all these cool details. I haven’t even got a trigger shoe.

Atleast mine is more powerfull 8)

Regards,

Marc

Awesome work all you guys !

Good enough I’m going to open up all the pages and wait for my damn dialup to download ALL the pics…

The contrast that will give you will look great. I have not seen it done on airguns but have seen it on paintball guns.

Looking awesome!

Awesome work, love the detail work. The shroud is going to look unsurpassed.

Well Airgunner , the stainless collar on the mat is going to be heat shrunk into the frame, and the brass valve screws into that 😀 (so it will fill the gap) simple ! 😀
Pic of finished cocking handle , all the stainless ie screws ,trigger shoe , breech ect , are going to be shot blasted ,so there be dull grey when finished

But this is why im posting !!!!!!

Ive masked of a sort of zeber / camo stripe on my LDC, im going to shot blast the un masked area . Il end up with a mat anodised finish on the unmasked area and a slightly shinner finish where the masking tape is , when anodised. 😯
Anyone seen this done! cos im thinking of doing the hole tube like this 😯 it will either work or make the gun look crap ! 😀 or should i just stop messing around and get the dam gun finished !

At the risk of sounding stupid, I’m going to ask this anyway….
why is there a gap between the brass part of the gun (valve?) and the frame ❓
Thanks,
sorry for being stupid…

That is a beautiful gun youve made. Anyone would be proud of something like that. Great work.

well mate your right with keeping it as a hobbie but i realy like to work with wood so i have to finnish one project and i have to start another all the idea,s i get half the way through the first i use on the second lol .i,ve just finnished the full stock one and with in a day i,ve started another 😀

WOW

Very impressive.

You have the skills Buba

Was waiting for a shot blasting gun to arrive ,and its here finaly 😀 .Would have been charged £20 to have it beed blasted or £25 for a cheap gun , so i went with the wait one and a half weeks option ! Damit 🙁 not that ive had any time anyway
Yeh you Americans just love those AR15 grips ,only went with it because it was cheap 😀 . It feels nice thou ,as dose the stippling on the trigger shoe. The cocking handle is part finished and is going to have the same drilled and stippled affect to match up.
Your curious about the bottle fit as am i 😀 ,the collar is hopefully going to be heat shunk into the frame , this can only be done arfter the tube has been anodised ( english spelling ! 😀 ) as otherwise the anodising would just melt the stainless collar away! .
This pic is as close as ive got to the finished gun

Only sold one ring Rabbits but ive been machining other jobs that are easier and better money for the hassel 😀 ,so im not worried, should keep it a hobbie or it resembles work lol 😀

very nice work again mate welldone .have u had any one askin about the bottle rings.. 😀
