Q:

Stealth home build

Here it is in order and without editing 👿 (HOPEFULLY) by owners PLZ HEHE 😀
The LCD was an idea from a russian site and works quite well ,thou i would like to make one with some sound deadning material to see if its any better. 😯

First fitting of the top rail ,bit of a bugger to machine and learnt plenty about how not to do it.

The trigger group fitted , the shear assembly is made from steel to be hardened later with a brass trigger .Still got to fit the pins and test the shear against the hammer when loaded on the spring. 🙄

The mock up of the trigger group with trigger gaurd in place , finaly got the screws to fit this , so should finish soon.

Got a 400cc bottle from a logan s16 , like the fact that its shorter in length
and DIA ,give s me more to play with when it comes to the stock and adjusting its length for comfort. The stock has seven adjusting positions for hieght and will be clamped by 2 screws between the bottle hole and adjusting bar. The first 2 pics are for mock up only.

Reduced the size and made it fit mu shoulder better by rounding it off, bit lighter too. Was going to make it FT style but i would like to go hunting with it ,so when for a more solid style.

This brings us upto date Blodnobs kindly helping with the valve ,so all i need is some time ………damit 🙁

Awe inspiring. That is how Airforce should have made them in the first place.

Man o man buba! that is gorgeous!!! So what kind of accuracy are getting with her?

Fitted a biopod which is a harris clone of Fleabay from China ,its not bad for a third of the price of the original . My next project on the PC reaching the final drawing stage.

Finaly i got my 3l 300 bar dive tank 🙄 ! these things are rarer than hens teeth at the mo. So i made an adapter from the bottle line to the airforce adapter and tried it out . At which point the valve wouldnt seat shut 🙄 so theres abit more to do . A new tophat and a slight angle on the stem seat, will sort when ive got the time.

got to remember to water that plant ,Happy Xmas all 😀

Buba

Work of art my Friend…..

Damn King, you just gave us all a reward.

I like my 😯 reward 😯 …..wonder what i get for the next one ! 😯 .
Im going the route of trapiziod screws and plastic anti-backlash nuts for my mill as i still want to use it manualy ,which i cant with ball screws . The price for ball screws is a big deal as well ,im not arfter a fast / high tolerance M/C , just one that can do contours ect . Its A LONG progect 😕
Diver bottle on the way yeppie……a shot before the weekend ?

Done to the point that shes finaly finished 😯 .Yep you cant believe it 😀 ( and neither can i ) its took 6 months , 42 screws , cost about £203 in materials , more moaning from the girlfriend than i care to mention , spent £200+ on tooling and knakered my mill in the process 😀

That’s some serious dedication you got there! But I bet it paid off at the end. Looks wonderfull and very solid. No worries about later POI-shifting I suppose 😉
I totally understand your point about GF. That is universal fact and happens all over the planet 😛

Awesome…here is your REWARD….

Small update , the weather was crap so i got some more done !

This 2nd pics shows the bad anodise on the top rail ……thou it looks worse in the pic ……….damit 🙁

Im GETTING a bottle this week , if i can find some one who stocks them and then hopefully get the first shot off 😯 . Bi-pod should arrive in the week . Now gona get mcMikes chrono , see if i can suss that and then i start on CNC-ing my mill again ! . Need new lead screws before i do any more milling on it …….piece of crap 😀

well if your anywhere near leistershire you can borrow mine

Both powder systems would be nice but ( and theres always a BUT) my compressor isnt big enough to run Adams idea and im not rich enough for colinb s gun damit ….it is xmas soon carnt stretch that far…….it never stops 🙁 . We need an importer for Durocoat ! .Think il have to make a new rail ,one piece with a weaver rail some time 😕 . The anodising cost £60 Rabbits , you might have to hunt for someone to do it ,as most companys dont like doing small private jobs, as the customers expect a top rate job .Hopefully il be doing my own anodising soon and then do the rail myself 😀
