Q:

Springs.

Just a quik pic of the hammer springs i like to use with my valve. They’re just a stock spring and are probbly a bit OTT but You can always tune down, but on the otherhand with a weeker spring the only way to get anymore out of em is to use preload. Cant tune a week spring up.I try n use no preload and have the spring compress 100% and extend 100%. Preload only puts more strain on the valve leaving it open to dump when air gets low. These’ll need about an inch off of em to fit, and at less than a fiver a pair it makes good financial sense too.

Nice looking spring Blodnob what weight is it?

Sorry about that.
I found that if you delete a pic from photo bucket and add another it assumes the number code thingy from a picture it replaces.
I had a clearout from pb and added more and this must’ve taken its place. 😳

That makes me feel better, I was starting to think I was the only one that noticed :-). That’s sure pretty, Sean, but it don’t look much like a spring! Later.

Leupy has to take credit for the valve springs as he has them made up.I’ll send you a few if you like. He’s also orderd a few that are a bit longer and have a coil less to make them just a bit stronger.
When i pressure test a valve i dont put a spring in.
Send an address and and i’ll put a few in a bag for you with a couple of them X rings for the stem. They’re 6mm ID.
Atb, Sean.

So what springs do you use for your valve design as im intrested in having a go for my home build . My valve stem,s going to be about 10mm longer than yours because of how im fixing the bottle mounting ring and all i want is one spring ,cash is tight at the mo 👿
