Q:

So… when do you have "Magnum" power?

We’ve all heard this term, and have seen guns listed with this kind of power, but at what fps/fpe does a gun become “Magnum?” I can’t say I’ve ever really seen stats, or a chart that specifically states this, it seems kind of blurry.

I believe Tom Gaylord once said that when a 8 gr. pellet reaches 1000 fps this gun is considered to be a magnum power.

Depends on if you’re talking springers or PCP. Springers are considered magnums when the power starts getting into the 20 fpe or above range, I believe. Don’t know that I’ve really heard it applied to PCP’s, by their nature, even a relatively low powered PCP is a magnum compared to a springer. My TSS with 18″ .177 barrel can easily do 20 fpe, and with the 24″ 22. barrel, can top 40 with stock valve, and can do OMG! with my Blodnob valve :-). Later.

When the girl gets me all aroused up and makes me wait…

I believe it is 40 fpe.
