Q:

Scope change fixed my problem

I have had this new .22 cal SS for a week today. Bought it with the AF 4-16 x 50 scope and throughout the last week shooting it, I have had intermittent problems with fliers finding themselves at a different places on the target when shooting a group.

This morning I gave the scope a vote of no confidence and pulled it off the gun and put a BSA 6-24 x 40 on the gun. Got it sighted in and just finished shooting about 100 shots and all at 35 yds cut the edges of the same hole over and over.

Back in the game now !!!

I just mounted a 4x16x56 Leapers on the Condor. Sight in was super easy and groups looked great so far. Only been able to shoot 10 yards into my shed so far though because of the non-stop rain.

With the leopold I had on there, groups were very inconsistent and POI was all over the place from day to day. I hope this fixed it.

I was having some right to left shift depending on the distance. So I switched to a one piece mount. But know I’m having POI problems at 30 yards. I don’t know if this is the CO2 and the low speeds (do to the weather changes) or what. I didn’t have this with the other mounts gust the scope not being lined up correctly with the rifle. Any suggestions??

is the leapers like this???

i think you all already know…but its always good to make sure!

quote Nierds:

couldn’t this be a parallax error?

Yes it can. And some scopes just dont hold their internal adjustments well. So you get this changes but you have not changed anything.

couldn’t this be a parallax error?

Hi Triggerman, it sure is good to have a gun that shoots right. It seems like you went through some frustrating times, (the learnung curve). My SS is doing better now that I changed the scope on it. I was beginning to think that I had lost my skills.

Now that is good news….that POI change can drive you crazy.

I have a scope that does it a little too.
