R3 .30 CAL 2ND GEN QUESTION
hi guys.. have any you put the new huma reg and new plenum on the 2nd Gen with eds new 3mm valve..just wanted to see if it’s any better or worse ??

Here is a 22 shot string; 225 bar fill on my Std .30 R3 with Huma/plenum shooting the 44.75 grainers. Looks like 20 good shots.
I don’t think I would recommend the Huma/plenum install. Seems the performance I see here is not much better than the factory regulator and plenum. Don’t get me wrong though, I love this little powerhouse and setup :smilen: Those with the factory setup please report your shot string results. These pellets were straight from the tin/not sorted.

I just installed it yesterday in my Standard Gen 2. My initial tuning has the Huma at 135 bar. I peaked with HST at 880 fps and have dialed HST back to 865 fps. From a 220 bar fill I am getting about 24-25 shots on reg.
With all this said, this Gen 2 has the Hagen 3 mm valve-stem. I’m not certain that the valve has the factory valve return spring in it.
I’m happy with this set up. I just recently acquired the Gen 2 and I am impressed with the offset moderator’s job of quieting the report. Very good little rig and plenty of power for me.
I may experiment further with different settings but for now, I’ll just shoot it.
Do you no of any gen 2 with the huma reg and plenum.
Be interesting wat the results are compared to the original ed reg and set up ??
It actually will fit the Gen 2 just like the Gen 1. Of course, the Gen 2 doesn’t need the hammer weight.

From what I understand and was confirmed by Brian at EdgunWest, the Huma reg kit with larger plenum doesn’t fit the Gen 2. It fits The R3 Gen 1 .30 only.
