Q:

pyramyd air, condor part 2, .22 to .177 cal

hey i was the one that asked the question about changeing the caliber of air force rifles. i bought the .22 gun and a .177 barrel to go with it. i did not know there was a diffrent spring and spring retainer in the tank. for .177. air force did not advertize that point with barrel changes. i had the problem the valve would dump around 2500 psi to 300 psi. i tried everything and the problem is the .22 spring can’t close when the .177 barrel is installed. but bb gave me an intresting answer that the problem has been addressed and i should send my tank to air force and they would fix the valve. to me that sounds like they would just put in a .177 spring, and cut the power of it in .22. or have they made a better valve number three. you might ask why i bought a .177 barrel but i had no idea at the time the real power of the condor and the .177 is useless.

i had the same issue with the new valve that’s why i switched back to the stock airforce condor high flow tank.

it works fine at 2200 psi and never dumps on high power shots.

Both barrels for mine, no problems… either one rocks. I shoot the Eun Jin’s in .177 and it has plenty of pop. The .22 shoots just as well. I adjusted the tophat a bit, otherwise it’s stock.
