AF sent me a couple replacements, NO CHARGE. Wow, I was pretty impressed. Got them yesterday, and now I dont have to use a nail anymore! 🙂 Thanks AF!

thanks adam.

called airforce, they are sending me some. very nice people.

I asked them about the screw type, and they told me it’s a:

4-40 x 1/8 hex socket.

I believe that is a little different than what was posted somewhere here in the forums. I am trying to find these now in a metal screw. I’ll post a link if i find it.

Ace Hardware is a good bet. The stock some nice metric stuff in stainless also. You may have to cut it down.

BTW your Wokbutt should be arriving today 😆

Readily available in metal BUT…. it will likely scratch/wear the anodizing in the slot. If that isn’t a problem then a metal screw is fine.

thanks. i just sent them an email requesting to purchase a bunch of them. 🙂

has anyone found a metal screw to use instead of the plastic piece of crap?

Voltar,
Good advice as usual 😉

It’s GREAT to have a full AF parts bin ❗ ❗ TOO 😀

REmember to remove the screw ‘BEFORE’ you remove the barrel. The hammer spring puts a lot of side load on that weak little screw.

Good luck with it.

That toolbox for all your R/C car/boat stuff

Call AirForce. I did the same and called AF. New plastic screws were sent next day.
