Q:

poor accuracy with eujins .22

I was shooting at 50 feet with my condor at its lowest power setting.

using crossman premiers, i got a 10 shot grouping of less then 1/4 inch

then using the eujins, at 50 feet, lowest power setting, i got a 5 shoot grouping of 2 inches!

does anyone else have accuracy problems with the 28.4 grains? or is it just my gun?

PS: does anyone know of a place to get a 30+ inch .22 condor barrel?

thanks

Thanks for the advice, i turned it up to level 8 and got perfect one hole grouping with both cp and ej at 50 feet. my pressure was pretty low, and at low pressure the gun shoots pretty random speeds. there wasnt even a difference between level 2 and 10. wish i could put up pictures, but i’m a tard with that kind of stuff.

I broke my silencer by turning it up 🙁 there was just too much pressure and all the filling foam and rings just got destroyed and the whole silencer literally shot 40 feet! still hit the target with the pellet dead on though 🙂 didnt mind too much about the silencer since i would go to jail just for having it.

crank that wheel up!

I shoot ej’s with the wheel turned all the way up, kodiaks at 9, and cp’s no more than 3 or they go sonic.

your setup will probably be a bit different so do some experiments with the wheel to see where it shoots best for you.

I shoot Eun Jins a lot, they’re very accurate and powerful in my TSS with 24″ barrel and Blodnob valve. I usually shoot them around 900 fps, one hole groups at 10 yards and consistent cloverleafs ( say 3/8-1/2″) at 30-40 yards. If you’re not getting a noticeable kick from your rifle shooting these, it’s too slow. One other nice thing, with EJ’s at 900 fps, Kodiaks are at about 1000 fps and both shoot to virtually the same POI at 30 yards. Later.

Ditto….. I’m no expert on any of this AF airgun stuff and will never pretend to be as such. I do know however that thru trial & error.. pellet weights and shape are all unique and each has their own characteristics.

Eun Jins need more punch behind them in order for them to stabilize in flight (because of the heavy weight). For maximum results with Eun Jins you really need 40+ foot pounds. This means the pellet should be going at least 800 fps, and I doubt you can achieve that on the lowest power level.

Turn the wheel up just a little to add some preload. Maybe 4. Report the results then.
