Q:

other pellets than cp’s

i was wondering if some of you have tried other pellets, in the crosman line, that are good, since cp’s in .22 cost so much. i have the cp’s hollow point and am not impressed but have tried crosman pointed, the kind at mijers and had some success. 23 bucks is a lot, and need some other ideas

The cp hollow points, 500 tin are a bargain in .22 cal. shoot very good out of my tss at about 800fps and to 30 yds or so (hit paintballs on golf tees consistently out to 25 yds) Do not like to be overpowered. Also don’t do as well at longer range. If target is mission critical or for longer distance I break out the Kodiacs. In .177 the last cp hollow points I bought lacked seruious qc. some even fell completely through the barrel, undersized to say the least. Love the JSBs. Great medium weight and marginally more accurate in my gun vs. kodiacs but lack impact energy comparatively; wish they made a true “heavy”. have yet to find a department store pellet, daisy, crossman or otherwise suitable for much more than informal backyard plinking

In my guns I have had good luck with Beeman Trophy,Beeman FTS and RWS Super Domes.

My experiences are limited, but have found that Benjamin, RWS superdomes and Daisy pellets in .22 cal are pure junk. The only other pellets I have shot are the Kodiak heavies and they are so impressive that I am not going to waste time or money trying anything else out.
