Q:

One piece adjustable scope mount

I’ve been looking around for a new one piece adjustable scope mount. I see there is a B Square, Beeman, and BSA. There must be several others ❓

If you care to share your thoughts, suggestions, Preferences, observations etc. I would appreciate learning about them.
Thanks

I have the Beeman OP non adjustable high mount. Worth the cost, 4 set screws to secure it to the rail and 4 set screws per ring. Well machined.

I have the ACCUSHOT and like it very much. People also love the BKL drooper 1 piece mount.

I use the Sportsmatch AOP55 one-piece adjustable mount on my Gunpower Storm. It is for scopes with large objectives, and is therefore a high mount. It is rock steady and has never shifted on me. You can adjust your POI using the mounts, so you can leave your scope optically centered. This gives a huge range of elevation adjustment at long ranges.

JW,
Looks like the leapers one piece mount is not adjustable. Of course one can always shim to gain some adjustment. Take a look at the Beeman, example No. 5039, which has an adjustable base.
I’m looking for selections of adjustable one piece mounts.

Anyone tried the Accushot version? I just ordered one for $20 and it should be here next week… Not sure how well it will work but it looked the most straight forward of the 3 different brands…

Has anyone used the dovetail to weaver conversion rail? I wanted to mount this on the bottom of my TalonSS frame and fit a Harris BiPod on that as well as a forward handle…

Thanks for the input Y!

Thanks, Ross. I’m fairly familiar with the AA B Square. Know what you mean. Seems OK but Like you sort of like the Beeman approach. Guess that one, re Beeman is from, Sportsman?? Or some name like that. Anyway the Beeman looks like it has a good adjustment system.

The BSA looks sort of odd. I have no experience with nor have I seen one up close.

I’m wondering whether there are others out there ❓ Been looking around and have not come up with much of a selection. haha 😆
Thanks again

I’ve had two of the B-Square AA mounts and a Beeman Adjustable mount.

I used one set of AA mounts on a Gamo Shadow and it held up well without any issues. I tried to use a similar mount on a Beeman Kodiak and it wouldnt hold at all.

It adjusts by using a threaded rod for elevation adjustment and you spin the scope ring part to make it go up or down. A pair of set screws on either side control the windage. More set screws screw into the other set screws to “lock” the scope in position once you have adjusted it.

There are three main problems I have with these,

First is that you have to remove the scope to adjust elevation (to be able to spin the ring) and the second is that every time its adjusted and you lock the adjustment, you damage the thread on the set screw so its not something you want to be adjusting or taking from one gun to another. I sold the Gamo and the mount along with it for that reason. Final problem is that if you need a lot of vertical adjustment then the mount sticks out at the back quite a bit and is only supported by a thin threaded rod.

The Beeman…. I owned it, but I never made use of its adjustment as I got it on a gun already. It seemed more robust and solid than the AA mounts and seemed to just be a simple unscrew set screws and move up or down so you could adjust it with the scope still mounted.
