Q:

On the scrounge…

….for information. Again.
I been asked to make a replacment front brass bit for the standard valve that has the fat stem.
I have the dims’ for the stem but need to know if there’s any differance in length of the brass bit and if theres a differance in the seat area. And if so what is it ? ie, how wide and how deep it goes.
Stem looks to be 1/4″ but does brass open up around the port area to give air access to the stem ports ?
Ive got about a meter ( a yard to you metric denialists ) of brass, so if i have to write a program for 1 i may as well turn the length into them.
Thanks in advance, Sean.

Is there any talent on here that would care to make and or publish a cad drawing with the dimensions, so that maybe the more adventuristic types might give it a try making one?!?

If I had a drawing I might be apt to give it a go and try to figure out how to produce one. I have a decent bar of brass just waiting to be turned into metal chips. Might make a great exercise on learning how to cut threads on the lathe! I have a co2 valve body and stem that I could place it into and then hookup a 3000+ hpa from paintball and no regulator… I am sure its no dyotat or rl extreme but might make for a slug wannabe alternative.

The internal o ring is BS 803 ( 6.35 x 1.78 mm)
but compared to the talon valve is placed closer to the top hat where there is more metal to play with.
The rest is the same as for the talon.

Yes it does chief.
Thanks.
Thaught id gone invisible for a while there. 😉

Valve seat opening at 7.94mm
Depth : 10.20 mm
Total length 16.60mm

Hope this helps.
