Q:

New Condor Valve Still HOT???

Ahoy Lads,

Can any one let me know if the new valve is still the greatest thing since sliced bread?

Are there pros and cons, or i it all good?

I am trying to decide between the new valve or keeping the old one and getting a heavier hammer.

My condor has a Tim W tophat\stem and a lighter valve spring, and only is consistent between 2,200psi and 1,200psi. Any higher than 2,200, and the PoI starts out three dots low and keeps increasing, which wrecks my bleedin head 😈 👿

What should I Dooooooooooooo ❗

how much do a standard hammer weigh?

You are welcome now these were quick shots and reloads and crappy pellets I am sure that the .25 Eun Jins work even better I did throw these 14.9 grains pellets into the mid 1300’s when I was playing!

I like it too just need to do some fine tuning here is a shot string:

My vote is for the new valve! I have one and absolutely love it.

Thanks for the info,

Randy, what kind of spread are you getting ? If you were to start at 3000psi power wheel at 10, and fired 60 shots? and what about with the power turned down? Can it knock open the valve when the power wheel is set to 2-4 at 3000psi? What kind of spread over 60 shots?

What about hammer weight? Is it still necesary to fit a heavier hammer weight? Or can I get good results with stock hammer?

Eamonn 😀

Well at over 1000 fps I am getting close to that sonic crack but man can a Condor throw heavy lead FAST!!!

quote Randyhub:

So watch the powerwheel setting and keep those pellets below 950 fps.Randy

this might be a dumb question – but why 950fps wouldn’t 1026fps still be accrete, or are you getting to close and starting to play with the wall of waves?

Well how about Eggs, Bacon, Sausage and Spam. That hasn’t much spam in it 😆 😆 😆 😆

Naw, Dont worry about it. The old site is basically a ghost town used to hold members old posts in the past and we will let them use up their band width to do that. All the New Stuff is on here.

We as a group is what makes up this place…it was never the name that was important. Everyone is invited and welcome….well almost everyone 🙄 😛

From a post I made earlier on another Forum (don’t want to SPAM you guys 😆 :

The old valve was okay for power but was a little spikey for power. I filled to 2800 psi (some are doing 3100 psi with the new valve) using my pump (that was painful, scuba was empty) and powerwheel set on 10 using a 110 grain hammer (putting a lighter one in when I do the .25 upgrade it quite acceptable power.

No bragging here guys just passing on info to other Condor owners (Okay 😉 )

Crosman lightweight .22 14 grain pellets chronied at: 53.361 ft lbs

Piledriver heavy weights .22 30 grain chronied at: 70.141 fpe

So watch the powerwheel setting and keep those pellets below 950 fps.

Randy

I think that the new valve is going to give ou exactly what you want. You just got to weigh up the cost difference between the two options.
