Q:

New Condor valve shot strings–>

Condor .22
Hammer=127g
Stock spring
Top Hat–0.093″ (from factory)
8lbs. Top Hat spring pressure (same as old valve!)
PW=10
Chrony Master Beta
3050 PSI Initial fill
Eun Jin 28gr–30 shots
Kodiak 21gr–20 shots
And here we go–>

1-1167………………..11-1155…………………21-1121
2-1096………………..12-1179-(86.4 FPE)…22-1103
3-1131………………..13-1160…………………23-1089
4-1113………………..14-1173…………………24-1086
5-1127………………..15-1156…………………25-1074
6-1130………………..16-1153
7-1153………………..17-1145
8-1167………………..18-1147
9-1153………………..19-1130
10-1160………………20-1134

PW set to 0– (no effect)
26-1065
27-1049
28-1048
29-1037
30-1030——1900 PSI

Kodiak 21gr–1900 PSI
PW=5 (probably no effect)
1-1167………………11-1086
2-1157………………12-1080
3-1150………………13-1054
4-1138………………14-1050
5-1136………………15-1048
6-1127………………16-1046
7-1120………………17-1040
8-1128………………18-1029
9-1117………………19-1007
10-1104…………….20-997

End pressure=1300 PSI
Accuracy really sucks–too much muzzle velocity I suspect.

I’m guessing too much hammer is most of this.
I would put in my stock (85g) hammer and repeat
but I don’t see it even firing @3000 PSI with the SAME spring pressure as
the old valve! Will the stock hammer limit me to fills of <<3000 PSI?
I guess I’ll be taking that virgin valve apart-huh?–DAM. 😡

p.s.—The new valve IS quieter! New O-Ring mod. really works. :mrgreen:

Also I’ve been throwing up this question everywhere. Does anyone know (for sure) if it’s ok to have the threads of the valve stick out past the top hat? Reason I ask is cause i’d like to try .060 but then my threads would be exposed, right now at .070 they’re flush with the top of the top hat.

Hey Martin, Have you ever tried adjusting your top hat to .070 and filling to 2000 and doing a run (say, 40-50 shots?) of Kodiaks? I’d be mighty curious as to your results.

The stock hammer weight on my condor is exactly like the one in that picture.

The new hammer weight that i got with the new valve, is quite thinner and lighter, i did installed it at first, but after some testing, i went back to the heavier stock weight (like the one in the piicture).

This is the stock setup on my Condor—Serial # BCO1413
Hammer=49gr——-Length=42mm
Striker=36gr———Length=24mm

AF didn’t ask me ANY questions over the phone. I just sent them a copy of the sales receipt and warranty card along with the bottle.
That’s all the info I have.

I dunno. I bought the rifle new in Feb.

Martin, reason I ask is that AF told me that I’d need the new striker weight that goes along with the valve in order for it to function properly. I dont know how true that is as I’ve not yet got the valve. I dont know if it’s heavier or lighter than the older stock weight….

I dunno. I bought the rifle new in Feb.

STOCK hammer/striker/ (85gr total)

I guess no one has this gun in C02.

Martin… I may not have caught this earlier, but when you said stock hammer and striker, is that the old or the new? When I ordered my valve, I was told there is a new striker weight that goes with the newer valve. Were you using the newer striker weight or the old one?

You took the words right out of my mouth rob 🙂 i also got a new lighter hammer with the new valve.
BTW, i did installed the new lighter hammer, but i think it works better with the original (heavier) hammer, thats what i got on mine.

wich one did you use Martin?

Has anyone tried the Condor 22 with C02 with 24″ barrel on max, how many shots did you get and what was the muzzle vel or fps and what size tank were you using? Thanks Joe

quote Benzin:

do those numbers go up if you put the PW in 13?

I’m sure they would—maybe 30 fps?. Can’t screw that wheel in too far or you won’t be able to cock it! I don’t put much faith in that wheel to accurately control velocities.

Was wondering the same, Benzin… I’ve got one of the new valves coming to go along with my Anthony 266 .25 barrel… should be awesome.

Thanks for the info Martin.
On the stock hammer Test, do those numbers go up if you put the PW in 13? (do you get more velocity?)
