Q:

New Air Force pump question

Hi guys been lurking on this board for a few months and think it is great and very informative. I have had my talon ss with co2 for a few months now and love it! I just bought a standard talon tank with the Air Force brand pump from Pyramid and the extra power is just what I am looking for. Does anyone know who makes this pump, it doesnt look like any other relabled pump I have seen. I originally wanted a Hill pump from Straight Shooters but they were on back order. I think this pump might be the chinese one that I read about somewhere.
Any info would be great! 😛

Thanks Adam,

I usually tire out before the pump even gets warm; it sure is a workout. Getting past 2600 psi is nearly impossible and I put my entire bodyweight (195) into it! A scuba tank would be nice.

Those pumps are not an easy rebuild like the Hill. Be very careful to not let it get to hot and fry your seals.

Once it goes I do not know if it can be repaired.

Thanks for the welcome,

the Air Venturi pump seems to work well and I have pumped at least 1000 strokes through it. I am wondering if it needs to be lubed and if it can be rebuilt like the Hill/BSA pump? The instruction sheet from Air Force was very minimal 🙄

Hey Rossum,

Welcome to the TAF…

I am pretty sure you are talking about the Air Venturi Pump.

Pyramid got a bad batch in that leaked right off the bat. Hopefully they solved the problem.

Good Luck

Tony
