Q:

Need some advice on LW 25 barrel

I just recieved my LW 25 barrel…It is the polygon version it was my understanding that these were choked..I have check the barrel from one end to the other it measures .635 all the way…One end is chamfered so I am goingto assume this is to be the muzzle…

Got it chamfered end is breech and square cut was the muzzle….here comes the lathe….

Pretty sure the chamferd end is the breach ❓ . Push a pellet down and see if it tightens up just before exiting. If you’ve pushed one through from the the chamferd end it will of sized the pellet allready and you’ll not notice a tight spot.
Ive a couple here and will check also.
I always check breach and muzzel before i start machining anyway.Never take it for granted.
It only takes one jolly boy at the factory playing silly buggers to ruin good day.

I ordered it from LW while the sight does’nt say choked I was told it was..ther was no tape of any sort on the barrel…i have checked both o.d and i.d and don’t see a difference on my 22 barrel i can mearure .002 differance from end to the other…if it’s not choked it’s no big deal I just did’nt want to cut oof the wrong end….Trying to reach the guy at LW right now….Was told to call back in an hour and still no one there to talk to…

Did it have a piece of masking tape on it? Mit Choke is what mine said
and I bet that is German for ‘with’
You cannot measure choke you will likely need to carefully push pellets and judge the choke by feel. The pellet should tighten up in the last 1-2 inchs and that is the choke.
did you buy a choked barrel?
Walter….
