Q:

My hunter 2240 (homemade mods)

This gun literally blasts through pest birds at over 50 yards. Has valve, trigger, hammer mods all done by myself. I group inside a quarter at 30 yards, this pistol has more power and penetration than a stock 392 rifle. That is impressive to me, especially since all mods were done in my workshop and I wasted no more than 50 bucks. Cheap yet effective.

Same gun, but with the stock it’s group size really gets smaller. I think it looks better as a carbine IMO.

Thanks Synopsis, appreciate that. I’ll be posting some pics of any hunting I’ll be doing with this rig in the hunting section.

Wasted $50, I disagree, looks like you did that $50 proud!!!

Nice work!

Thanks Rob and Adam, I completely agree that the 22XXs are one of the most versatile airguns out there. So much can be done with these pistols.

Everyone should have a crosman 2240. The are a great deal and mine have always been very accurate.

Gotta love the home inventions! Great work Mig. 12 shots per cart is about normal for a hot rodded 22xx gun.

Sorry on taking a bit to see the post, but keep on posting, you know I love the Crosmans! 8)

Hey Adam, I’m getting around only 12 full power shots. I could get more if I installed a power regulator, but I don’t really use this gun for plinking, just hunting, 12 shots per cart is plenty for me. Glad you liked it.

How many shots are you getting off of a cart? It looks great
