Q:

MountainAir 2560

Got my new MountainAir 2560 this week from Roy Weid. For a midsized PCP, this thing ROCKS! Excellent craftsmanship and plenty powerful. Not as powerful as my Condor .25, but a nice compromise between size and power. It’s shooting a 26g H&N hollowpoint in probably the high 700’s. I haven’t actually chronied it yet, but I can tell by the stuff it’s blowing through that is has some balls to it. I’m having Steve Corcoran make me a custom blue/grey laminate stock for it to match my Condor. I’ll post better pics when it’s done.

Those are some sweet l 🙂 🙂 king guns you guys have there.

You’ll be happy with a .25 on your SS. I’d recommend an 18″ barrel with shroud from Tony. It’s a nice combo for the SS. Plenty of power and still quiet. It does make it a little longer, but it’s a tradeoff for the higher FPE. Thanks for the compliments on my MA2560.

Interesting thought Nuglor, but C02 has it’s limitations in power, and my 2250 is pretty much at that limit without REALLY going nuts with even more mods. It’s sweet for what it is. If I were to go .25. it would be with a barrel that just drops in my more powerful SS.

But this thread isn’t about my gun, it’s about yours, so again, congrats, very nice.

Try putting a .25 barrel on it. It just opens up a whole new world and will make it feel like a completely different gun. I don’t think I can ever go back to .22 now. Not after my Condor and this. I did some testing this weekend and it’s shooting a consistent 32fpe. 😈

That’s really sweet Nuglor, the whole 22XX thing used to be my main love before I discovered AirForce. Thought I’d post these pics of my highly modded 2250. Mac 1 Tim bulked it, among other things, another guy did valve work, to much to list. Funny I shot it today for the first time in months, I still love it, nice little piece I could never part with. It can spit ’em out, and surprisingly accurate!

Man, I’m tellin’ ya. This thing is an airhammer for the size. It’s really light and manuverable to. It’s only rated for a 2000psi fill, but Roy’s valve does wonders with that amount of pressure. I’m going to have to drop the red dot and get a real scope put on it. Maybe a BugBuster 6×32.

That looks like it will be a really fun one to shoot!

I’ve been thinking about getting that style of airgun for a while now.

The gun runs off hpa. The shroud is nice quality, but lacks effectiveness. No baffles in it. I’ve had Rich in Mich custom make several custom LCD’s for me in the past (including a 9mm) and they work quite well. Very nice quality.

Nuglor: Something to be desired in terms of quality, or in terms of the effectiveness? Hopefully not both. 😕

quote Nuglor:

I love Roy’s guns, but his shrouds leave something to be desired. I’m going to get Rich in Mich to make me one for it as well as my DAQ Outlaw.

Your going to love Rich’s shrouds and they work very well.

Nuglor, is that running off of HPA or Co/2? Looks sweet either way same as the Daq. Good to hear a heads up on the shroud issue, does he incorporate baffles of any kind or just the tube?

Nice 2560 😀 . Roy is working on a 2250 for me that will run on HPA Regulated tank with a full shroud and high rise breech.

NVM. I found the site.
