Q:

LW .25 Polygonal barrel accuracy issues???

Hey anyone experiencing any accuracy issues with a Polgonal barrel in .25?? I have found that my Condor and Polygonal barrel seems to like the tighter fitting Eun Jins over the Kodiaks and also seems to really lose accuracy once the pellet goes below 940 fps?? I am seriously considering going back to .22 as I need consistant accuracy. I also have another .25 barrel (standard rifling) on it’s way as I think Polgonal rifling is FAR more pellet sensitive. I can say that .25 does hit WAY harder but what good is that if you can’t hit what you aim at??

Nothing you did I think I need to redo the crown biggest issues is I think my fill tank was way down thats why I need a pressure gauge on my tank to see what each shot uses for air as I am playing with the tophat and unscrewing the the tank to fill is tough when tuning. 😥

And no Walter you didn’t hurt my baby. 😆

Anyone know the answers here?

Still want to confirm barrel crown angle, fill pressure, tophat measurement, hammer weight, velocity, PW setting, pellet type.

thanks

Can you tell us what it is doing now and when did it change? Did you let Engineguy close to it? I thought it shot awesome. Was it anything I did when fooling with your gun? I had it totally apart bwaaahhhaaaaahhhhaaa
Curious to know what is going on with it.

Anyone have any further comments as I am about to place my years supply pellet order in .22 as opposed to .25.

Randy, what went south with your barrel?
It was shooting great the day i was there.
I persoanlly prefer the 11 degree cut across teh muzzle. With a very sharp HSS cutter I take light cuts from the bore outwards to reduce the amount of burr that may fold in if facing towards the bore.
Once the muzzle is faced off to my liking it gets polished with 320 grit and then steel wool. For the bore treatment I press the 320 grit where it is well used against the muzzle with my thumb which allows the soft emery cloth to ‘just’ get into the bore enough to break the rifling.
Check with Q-tips for burrs and push pellets to confirm nice rifling martks.
Shoot the dickens out of it.
Walter….

dunno ill get back to you on it after the weekend im going to try a .25 bbl out as aparently he is having accuracy issues too so were gonna try a few combinations with psi/crown and pellets ect

Any chance of getting a picture of the barrel crown, and what pellet, fill pressure, velocity, works best?

I’ve got the poly .25 and have had no problems with accuracy. In fact, my .25 likes more pellets than any barrel I’ve ever owned.

I will be interested to hear the responses on this! Now that Tax season is over for us, I would like to get a .25.
