Q:

Lubrication

No KY jokes please!!!!

I’m fairly new to the forum, and have been searching for hours so please excuse if this has already been discussed.

How, where and with what do most people lubricate their air force rifles?

I’ve found positive posts on the fp 10 and divers silicone, but I don’t want to make a mistake with my new rifle and put something in it which will degrade o rings or cause other problems.

This site is great by the way. Thanks to all who spend so much time discussing these amazing airguns.

I just put a little on the barrel where you load the pellet. Anywhere else i should lube it up?

Put it in front of the breech and then in the rear of the breech on the barrel.

Thats it!

I lube it and forget about it for a long time. When you forget when you lubed it last, then it is time to lube it again.

Bikin….Yes it is like Vaseline and a little goes a long way.

I picked up some Divers silicon. Is is suppose to be really thick, kinda like Vaseline? The one i got is called Trident.

Welcome,

All you need worry about is putting a little lube on the barrel where the breech slides back and forth. It is best to use silicon. I use divers silicon I purchased at the dive shop.

You really dont need to worry about the hammer unless it starts to chatter and gets funky.

Look in the quick reference section and you will find some videos of Tom Gaylord going over the rifle. He also covers lubrication in there.

As for the KY…..Bodi likes cherry flavor 😆

Adam, how many rounds between lubes?

Thanks for the help!
