just became a talon owner
:)hi guy’s first post here and wanted to say hi.i just bought a talon ss .25 shooting 35fpe which i should recieve next friday.i know this is not big power for all of what i have read but i will shoot it and if it’s accurate that’s all that counts.with all the mod’s that you guys do to these guns i’m sure it would be easy to boost power.guy’s can anyone reconize this brass valve that also came with the gun and give me alittle insight about it.thank’s http://s192.photobucket.com/albums/z65/mm123521/?action=view¤t=valve012.jpg

had my valve apart, burst disk was marked 4200psi however this is a safety device, not to mean that the tank should be filled beyond the rated fill pressure of 3000psi.
🙂 mark or anyone else that knows his valve what fill pressure can this valve handle.i know the stock valve has a burst disk but not on marks valve.i’m new to these guns so i don’t know about fill pressure i’m used to rapids which can be filled pretty high.thank’s

GETTING THE OLD VALVE OUT IS USULLY THE PROBLEM. THEY ARE THREADLOCKED IN FROM THE FACTORY.
I’LL BET YOUR TANK IS NO LONGER THREADLOCKED, AND IT WILL BE A SNAP.
MAKE SURE THE AIR PRESSURE IS COMPLETLY EXHAUSTED BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO REMOVE A VALVE FROM THE TANK. HIGH PRESSURE AIR CAN REALLY HURT YOU!

I think that might be a valve that dnc sold a little while back. MM made it, and dnc sold it later. Looks exaclty like I remember. If I had to guess that’s what it is.
Again, just a guess, but I’d be willing to bet money it is that valve.

That was an early prototype valve that I built. It was built to open easily with a standard talon spring and hammer. It should produce a significent power increase over the standard talon valve. The exact preformance records were deleted by don, owner of the old forum (thank you dragon!- you bum!). I hope it works out well for you.

🙂 boy just installed marks valve on my talon .25(lw) and it’s much more consistent and hitting much harder.filled tank to 180 bar and have shot 20 shots so far with no change in poi.i will have to chrony later to see what fpe it’s putting out.my gun has i believe a brass 65g hammer and my pw is set at 10.5.with the stock valve it was not that accurate but boy did it come alive with marks valve.it’s shooting 1″ or better at 53yrds right now as i’m still getting used to the gun.
