Q:

Impacted CO2 cylinder

Bought a Crossman 2240 recently. Like the pistol….until today. Understand that this is the first CO2 cylinder through this pistol, and I am unable to extract and replace it. It’ s STUCK!!!!

Any ideas……..PLEASE.

Thanks for the help! I was in a panic there for a while. Found another remedy on another forum. This guy heated a stick of glue, like that used in a glue-gun, to a melting point. Stuck it to the bottom of the cylinder, while still liquid,..let it cool,..and then just plucked the cylinder right out.

Almost makes you want it to happen again, just to try out all these creative ideas!………Okay….not really!

Thanks again! 😀

What I did one time was add some super glue to a flat head screw and stick it on the cylinder for 5min. and you can pull it right out.

Much thanks my friend.

Make sure it is completely empty. Drill a small hole and screw in a screw then pull it out with some pliers.

Next time put a drop of oil on the tip of the co2 before inserting it. Also do not screw down the cap to tight…snug is fine.
