Q:

I’M CONFUSED

Hey Guys, as many of you know I am a self proclaimed Rat Killer and as of todays hunt I am at *1074* Yes I know I am the man but I saw something I never saw before….. When I started there was a rat on top of a trashcan eating out of a bag so I nailed his ass and he just layed there, now there is always 4 to 5 alley cats present and they usually stay CLEAR of these rats but while I’m setting up on my next rat I notice a clean looking cat jump into the trashcan and grab the rat I had just shot, then he ran off under a porch with it…….. 😯 I have never seen a cat eat a rat before and I’m not talking about a pet store rat , these fuckers are the nastiest most disease carrying muthafuckas I have ever saw so I shoot my second and third and fourth and here comes this damn cat grabbing them up one by one and taking them back under the porch, staying under there like 10 15 minutes between coming back out. 😕

Now this is my question will this cat die from eating what I like to call the “Infamous Baltimore Rat”

From my experience you cant kill a cat..’cept with lead..we had one get hung in the fan on my wifes car, it died instantly, I dug a hole and threw the cat in, when it hit the bottom it suddenly sprang out ran about 10′ and just stood there and looked at us..it lived 5-6 more years before the coyotes got it.. 😉

Wow thats nine lives for you.

animals know if something is safe or not. my dog eats the same things I eat. he will play with blue jays, mice and rats but wont eat them, but if I get a rabbit, quail, tree rat or things along that line it’s a race to get it before he dose, and he’s a bit faster than me 😡

But for some unexplained reason maybe 1 of 5 downed critters she will check out and then turn her nose up at and will not touch, even though all are the same species. Wierd 😕

Word, my dog is the same way.

With the cat getting more than one in that short time, I’d bet SHE was feeding a litter of young-uns. Need not worry about the cats though, they seem to have a 6-th sense about what is healthy and what is not.

My cat loves when the house sparrows venture into the yard and knows the sound of the TSS. But for some unexplained reason maybe 1 of 5 downed critters she will check out and then turn her nose up at and will not touch, even though all are the same species. Wierd 😕

The reason I ask is because I was told by a guy from the rat squad that a rat is so filled with disease and germs that they start to decompose only 2 hours after death so I figured if a cat ate one he would die for sure.

That is going to be one helluva FAT cat before too long..

Nah. Not unless the rats have consumed poison other than the lead.
