This may help answer your mount question. We recommend and sell 80% with “High” mounts due to the nature of the rifle design. Depending on the configuration and accessories selected. The Air Force high mounts are the way to go for mounting your scope.

As this PCP has no recoil, shock (reticle) damage to any scope is not a concern. Our recommendation for consideration is a good middle of the road scope such as a bushnell Banner or Trophy series. These work very well with this rifle. They affer great optics and ease of use. If you are doing greater distance shooting you may want to look at a higher power option such as a 6-18x 40 or a 6 – 24 x 40. Shimming should not be required with any of the Bushnell scopes.

If you are now, or in the near future, looking to purchase any Air Force product, send us a e-mail at sales@impactairgun.com and you will not regret the effort! We are a new AirForce dealer locted in the upper midwest (Minnesota) and offer very quick shipping. Check us out at http://www.impactairgun.com and drop us a note for a custom quote.

We need to start a thread somewhere that lists the scopes that you do and you dont need to shim. There are so many that have enough travel that you dont need shims.

Actually I’m ordering tonight! What is shimming a scope?

Pyramyd air sells rings made by accushot for 14-19.00 . You can use med or high…depends on your shooting style….I am using high with the tri-rail… it is possible you will have to shim your scope because it’s center will be 3 to 3.5 in above the center of the bore…. I shim mine anyway so i have plenty of upward adjustment left for long shots….

There are lots of dive shops around here. I’ve watched the video probably about 8 times total online at Putfile. 🙂 What mounts should I get if I’m going to get a Tri-Accessory Rail? My scope is a 40mm.

I’m guessing I should clean the gun right when I get it. How should I clean it and what should I use?

Thanks

Uhhh…did’nt notice you lived in mill….may be hard to find a dive shop…but if stay away from petroleum products you should be fine….watch the vid. that comes with the gun if your getting a new one…and as Bod said feel free to ask questions….

You’ll enjoy the bang (pfffffttt) for the buck you get, let us know how it goes

Jooleyen, i grew up in milwaukee and live in watertown now, just up I-94.
You know you need a scope and rings. A bipod is a big plus, AF if possible. Are you buying new or used? Any q’s feel free to ask or PM me. My TSS below with some of my woodwork. Another wisconsonite 😆 8)
Maybe a shoot is in order someday.

buy the ss with the refill clamp it has the gauge….then all you’ll need is a scuba tank or a foot pump…be sure to talk witha local dive shop…and never use a petroleum based product on anything to do with a pcp gun…good luck
