Q:

I just removed the end cap from my Talon SS…

WOW! That thing is LOUD without the end cap. I am so happy that I bought an SS. A regular Talonn or condor would be on its way back. I just gained an even greater appreciation for my SS. This gun is so cool!

So you guys who put 18″ barrels on with shroud extensions are getting similar results as a 12″? Are they louder or quieter? I am really courious now.

Beautiful, Thanks for sharing. I am going to keep learning and shooting my SS for a while. But I’m sure that there is an upgrade package/tuning in its future.

SpinJ is right. A .22 Condor can do it also, but it’s pretty cool with the bigger caliber. Here’s the pics you asked for.

Even a regular .22 Condor can send a Kodiak or Eun Jin through a 2×4 … even at 30 yards on full power. Mine can easily do it. Now that is impressive, especially for a .22! 😈

Nuglor, do you have a picture of that .25 caliber Condor that you can post? I’d like to see it. That “blow a hole through a 2×4 thing is impressive”.

Who is Tony and how do you contact him?

My Condor .25 has a 23 in. barrel and a custom shroud by Tony. It’s actually quieter than my stock Talon SS was and will blow a hole clean through a 2×4.

That guy is amazing. I was just looking at his Rapids. They’re beautiful! Truly works of art. It will probably be next year when I can afford to play around like that and I will definitely contact him. Thanks for the reference.

mine with an 18 inch barrel and the extended cap (no baffles) is fairly quiet… but I’m running it in .177. When it was .22 with the same config, it was a bit louder than the SS… well… more than a bit.

If you choose to go the 18 inch route, Tony can hook you up with a nice shroud if I’m not mistaken. …can you say ‘ping..pfft’ ?
