Q:

Hoping someone can tell me what I have here.

Can someone decipher what I have here and tell me if it is good/fair/bad. I have no idea what the tophat is set at as I have no tools to determine this. Power wheel is set at 10. Any input would be appreciated if there is something I need to try different or leave it where it’s at and just get after it. The shots are still a bit louder than I would prefer, but have done about all I know how to do.

Here’s what I have:
Stock Talon SS .22 cal
12″ barrel
Shroud baffels made from hair curlers, brillo pads and washers
Front bushing drilled
Frame drilled under handgrip
tank filled to 2900 psi
Beeman Kodiak extra heavy pellet (no gr. wt. on can)

Here is the target I shot getting this string. Before I catch hell over the grouping, this was basically shot off-hand, all 40 shots across the chrony just leaning across the bed rail of my pickup, target at 30 yds.

Yeah! What they said! Most folks would use cotton balls! After see’in your ears, I know some people up in Georgia, that can fix you up ,with the whole cotton gin! lol tz

Trigger,

You got a good one. Measure the top hat and write it down. Sounds like you are all set.

I would absolutely agree, i’ve played around wih the talon valve quite a bit and those are good stock configuration numbers. Tryto get a set of feeler gauges to measure the distance, always interested in what others have found to work for them. Good job

Dude,
Your Balls on. You found a good fill pressure for your rifle and your chrony string reflects a good shooting TalonSS.
The average velocity for Kodiaks in a TSS is around 750FPS.
Now its time get out and shoot.
Good Job
