You can find some reasonalbly priced digital scales that convert between grains and grams and have both bases covered. Just be sure that the range of the scale, say 0-500 gram covers your needs. Also that the resolution is suitable; some may measure in 1gm ingrements others in .1, still better .01. Generally without spending too much money scales with a smaller capacity measure a greater accuracy. One which measures 0-250 grams and converts to grains should be suitable (.1grain resolution minimum)

This one covers up to 1lb 5oz, should be plenty adequate.

RCBS puts their name on Ohaus scales: and their warranty…lifetime! I have a 1010 that I got in 1982 and just returned it for repair. I called Ohaus directly and they informed me that because it said RCBS on it, they would repair it for free with an RCBS return number. They even gave me the number for RCBS. RCBS was great, and gave me the RO number with no hassles. I sent it off and got it back within a few weeks. The cheaper balance type scales sell for $30 to $50.

The electronic scales are very sensative and can be expensive…$60 (not called a powder scale), to $150.

Understand that there is a BIG difference between grains, (the units that you weigh pellets in), and grams, (the units that hammers are weighed in). So, you might actually need two scales. You could ask Tony at Talon Tunes. I’m sure that he would give you accurate information. I don’t have any need to weigh anything in grams.

just my .02…good luck!
