11. Silicone Grease to maintain seals (o-rings): Source Poly-cons & most dive shops
Removing Silicone Grease: Vinegar, White. Works particularly well, but slightly etches aluminum
if it is unanodized. Be careful!

A perfectly concentric 45 degree recessed crown is fine
20. Freeze plugs make good low cost end caps:

21. Whenever adding an attachment to the muzzle always remove your bottle and get a visual
down the bore line, make sure it is absolutely clear….
22. The crowning job is the same, air gun or any type of sporting arm- the objective is to cut the barrel exactly perpendicular to the bore axis, and hopefully parallel to the plane of the base of the projectile. The critical point is when the base of the bullet/pellet breaks the seal of the pellet base from the lands/grooves. If it does not do this at the exact same time all the way around the crown, the jet affect of the pressurized gases running out one side first will tip the base of the bullet and usually causing irregular flight (inaccuracy).
There is an on-going debate whether a 9 degree or an 11 degree crown is best, however I believe as long as it’s exactly square (Per Tim1, read also concentric) you’ll be fine. There’s another whole discussion to setting up a barrel in a lathe for getting everything true (concentric)
23. Use JB Bore Paste (not Cleaner) to polish breech port, can use a 3/8” wooden dowel & drill to
rotate cloth with JB paste, Do Not Use a Hone, will damage thin protective hardened layer.
24. Blue Loctite or Goop for preventing screws from moving. If you need to make an adjustment,
carefully warm the stem with a lighter and the glue goes soft. Need a 400 degree source.
Loctite: Three grades, Blue Medium, general use, Green medium watery, Red Heavy duty
25. Ballistic putty: Duct Seal, kids putty
26. Use only Aluminum Black by Birchwood Casey or special Aluminum primer & paint for Aluminum

28. Scope & other attachment rails are 11mm or 3/8” TriRail Base is 11mm and 8” long (same as top rail of Talon but 2” shorter than Condor top rail)
29. Adjustable scope mounts: B sq. 17702 and 17701 , Beeman 5039,
30. Prevent flex on scope rail buy TriRail Base or use one piece scope mounts. Prefer adj for 1/8 moa,
or BKL drooped riser
Use care in tightening down TriRail screws: snug not hard fit, torque each screw the same as
mounted, etc just turn each one a small amount then alternate to next screw PCP are not springers
31. Standard Weaver rail” is 7/8″ (0.875), while the Picatinny is only 0.835″ across.

41. Valve Stem O-ring
All my valves are cut with a square sectioned o-ring groove measuring 1.60mm deep x 1.8mm wide.
The o-ring I use is 4.7mm x 1.42mm made from NBR 70. Stocks are available from Sealmasters
(http://www.sealmasters.freeserve.co.uk/). Sealmasters part number is 05/0R00470142NYO.
Lube with Molykote 33 or equivalent.
I have found the optimal depth of the o-ring groove is 1.4mm, the width of 1.8mm is fine. per Tim1
42. Tank Size: 490cc
2800# fill gives best performance in std configuration, 3000# fill with TimW mod with stock spring
2000 # and below velocity will vary greatly 3000#=206 bar
10% over fill will shorten life of tank by up to 5 years
43. Never ship a tank with air in it, very dangerous, empty using dime and fill adapter
44. US DOT requires tanks hydrostatic tested every five years
45. You may leave tank pressurized for long extended periods of time
46. Air Force Refill Clamp mates to a scuba K valve
47. Hand Pump Manufactures or Re-labelers: Hill, RWS, Air Force, FX
48. Replacement of the burst disk is a ‘return to base’ rectification, (Air Force) as they like to ensure it is
torqued correctly.
49. Tank thread: 7/8th unf valve neck thread size, Thread pitch on air bottles: 14 TPI
7/8th UNF, 14 pitch.
50. You can buy 7/8th UNF sockets from hydraulics suppliers for just a couple of quid. A minute boring
them out on the lathe and they make perfect valve protectors.
51. Bottle thread type: U1010 is needed.? Older bottles?

66. 1,000 fps = 305 m.p.s.
67. Over approximately 1.250 fps reduces accuracy, exceeds speed of sound
69. Speed of sound at sea level is approximately 1,100 fps and would affect accuracy after initial muzzle velocity
as the shock wave catches back up to the pellet. Speed of sound at sea level is approximately 1,100 fps
and would affect accuracy after initial muzzle velocity as the shock wave catches back up to the pellet.
70. With power set as low as it will go, The Condor will shoot a heavy pellet around 600 fps.
71. Air Force guns can have up to a range of 510 yards (470 meters), use caution where aimed.
72. Air gun barrels seldom need cleaning
73. Do not use metal objects to clean an air gun barrel including brushes even if brass
74. Pull from breech to end of gun barrel when cleaning, one direction
75. Can use weed wacker for guide with nylon string and cloth patches to clean to reduce damaging micro rifling
76. Do not use cleaning solvents and agents formulated for firearms because they can attack the seals and O-rings,
rendering the rifle inoperative.
77. Warning: Remove the air tank before making any adjustments, except power adjustments,
performing any maintenance or adding/ removing any accessories. (From Air Manual)
