Q:

Forward tank mount for Microlite Kits..yes,no,maybe?

I have had a lot of you guys ask me about a forward tank mount for the BP kits so I built a Prototype.

The positives with it are; the balance of the gun is much better with the tank forward and small rear tube allows for a lower scope mount and could serve as a pre-chamber for a possible regulator addition.

The negatives are; the additional parts make the gun heavier and the price for the complete kit would approach the cost of your original gun.

At this point I would appreciate some feed back to gauge interest before moving forward with this.

Thanks,
Dave

tagdagger, go for the redesign. With your ideas and experience it’ll be well worth it and some thing special.

Thanks Jethro, I will give it my best :geekn:

That looks pretty good.

Actually you are not that far from making the entire gun.

Thanks Wok. Always building, testing and having fun! We will see where it goes :4:

Now, if the price of the kit approach the cost of the original gun, maybe it is time to change the frame design completely, keeping just the internals?

I’m beginning to think that way. I have an awesome design on a full frame whole gun drawn up. Have also been studying trigger design for a while now. There is a point you get to in modding something that you may as well redesign the whole thing. May be there now.

Nice work Dave. :2cents: I would like to see how it looks on Condor or Talon. Right now it kinda “looks” uncomfortable to hold. That said my opinion is based on not owning one of your microlite kits and looking at this design https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Aznz4o6r8M.
