The temperature build up (if any) from compressed air expanding into a space as in a PCP is MUCH less than the temperature increase from compressing several CC’s as in a diesel engine/springer.
I’d also posit that in a PCP any temperature increase of that tiny bit of air behind the pellet is negated by the temperature decrease of the large amount of expanding gas from the tank.
I’ve never had a PCP diesel – not even after cleaning which is usually the only time my springer’s diesel.
